Now and Then - Hotel Barbara in Schladming

At the end of the 1960´s company founder Fritz and Barbara Danklmaier had the nose, when they bought a parcel in the Coburg Street to build a new bed and breakfast. At this thim the parcel was owned by the Catholic Churge and the area around the Planai was touristic insignificant. From that time on the "Haus Barbara" was managed by Family Danklmaier with much cordiality and typical Styrian hospitality.

The strong tourism boom in the WM city Schladming and espacially the self-sacrificing management of Fritz and "Wetti" Danklmaier allowed a continuous improvement of the infrastructure and therefore an ever-growing success of the traditional family business.

In the year 2004 son Florian Danklmaier came in his fathers footsteps and took over the company. Already 3 years after Florian invested in extensive expansion of the small pension. Since 2008 the modern 4-star hotel "Die Barbara" is hosted by the host-family Florian and Doris Danklmaier and show, also like Fritz Danklmaier did it before, great enthusiasm in working with the gastronomy.

Traditional Apartments at Planai

In December 1987 the first guests checked-in to the apartment-house "Rosenheim". 25 years later the traditional apartment house directly at Planai ski slope shines like new. Since November 2013 our new apartment-hotel Zur Barbara offers modern apartments and rooms in stylish design as well as all comfort of a contemporary 4-star-hotel.
